Two new indash satnav systems are being launched by Pioneer. Named the AVIC-F700BT and the AVIC=F900BT, these two sat nav devices have a whole array of nifty features. The two models just have one difference with that being the 900 series having a built in DVD player while the 700 is a CD player. Apart from that, you get all the rest of the goodies included.
Each screen measures 5.8 inches and is a widescreen (WVGA) touch screen. 2GB of memory is included and this can store various files such as MP3, MPEG-4, DivX and WMA to allow for full multimedia in your car. The satellite navigation system works in multiple languages and has voice guidance. TMC (real time traffic information) is also included as standard although I have yet to be impressed with this feature on any other sat nav device.
The BT on the end of each product name can be assumed it means Bluetooth as your mobile phone can be paired with the sat nav to allow you to scroll through contacts on-screen and make calls.
The system will be launched in Europe, USA, Russia and Australia in June this year. Unfortunately, no details on pricing are available yet.
